Uncertainty Disagreement Matrix

We live in a world of turbulence, uncertainty and ambiguity. The workplace is no longer a place of stability and, in most years, disagreements and uncertainties can be expected. The Stacey matrix was developed by Ralph D. Stacey as a model for dealing with complex situations in management settings. It also helps select appropriate management actions in complex adaptive situations. Now for a rIck Cynefin start is not a matrix, its frame emerge. If you read this, you`ll see how it`s created, so it can`t start with the two-dimensional intersection. It is a creative framework of meaning, constructed socially from the experience of the peoples of their past and also of their expected future. It is naturally derived from the triple classification of systems that are defined in terms of restrictions (the bit you like) you could (if you merged the simple and complicated and call it order, prefer this presentation. The main model is the three systems, Cynefin merely divides the order into simple and complicated and adds disorder to realize that human perception is also important. I don`t like 2by2 dies because they create a categorization approach where the model precedes the data for people to get things in shape.

As you can see in the first link, the framework derives from the data, so it is better for utility and is more likely to detect a changing or changing context. I am familiar with Stacy`s model, ad his last refusal, because it is now complex. I also think that with gradient models, the danger is that people are not able to think differently. They simply settle where they feel most comfortable (which Stacy did). – A frame with limits (for example. B Cynefin) allows people to see that they have to behave differently in different contexts. If there are significant differences among stakeholders on what to do, but little controversy about how, the project manager should anticipate conflicts in defining the scope and objectives of the project. In this case, a stakeholder „sales“ strategy can be effective in the form of a business review, cost-benefit analysis or similar objective tools, with stakeholders as a group, to guide them towards a single „vision“ of the project. In times of uncertainty, the role of the leader is to make performance possible.
