European Parliament and Council Regulation 2016/1076 of 8 June 2016 on the application of the regime for products originating in certain Member States, the part of Africa, Group of Caribbean and Pacific States (ACP) originally planned or in agreements establishing or establishing economic partnership agreements (36), recalling the intention of the EU and the United Kingdom to replace the „backstop“ solution for Northern Ireland with a subsequent agreement establishing alternative mechanisms to ensure the long-term absence of a hard border on the island of Ireland, 1. The United Kingdom ensures that no reduction in rights, guarantees or equal opportunities, as set out in the part of the 1998 Agreement on Rights, Safeguards and Equal Opportunity, is not the result of its withdrawal from the Union, including in the area of protection against discrimination, as provided for in the provisions of EU law in Appendix 1 of this protocol, and it implements this paragraph through specific mechanisms. 3. The United Kingdom does not apply or grant quotas, tariff quotas or tariff suspensions in its customs territory without the prior approval of the Joint Committee. CONSIDERING that the UK`s withdrawal from the Eu represents an important and unique challenge for the island of Ireland and reaffirming that the achievements, benefits and commitments of the peace process will be of the utmost importance for peace, stability and reconciliation in that country, such an agreement can be achieved by any type of communication. 1. Without prejudice to Article 127, paragraph 2, the United Kingdom is bound, during the transitional period, by the obligations arising from the international agreements concluded by the Union, of the Member States acting on its behalf or of the Union and its Member States acting jointly in accordance with Article 2, paragraph 2, paragraph 1) iv). the day after the end of the article 50 period, paragraph 3, of the EU Treaty, extended by the European Council in agreement with the United Kingdom, provided that the custodian of this agreement has received before that date the written communications of the Union and the United Kingdom on the completion of the necessary internal procedures; The arbitration panel, in agreement with the parties, may decide not to hold a hearing. RESOLVED to ensure a withdrawal ordered by various separation provisions aimed at preventing disruption and ensuring legal certainty for citizens and economic operators, as well as for the judicial and administrative authorities of the Eu and the United Kingdom, notwithstanding paragraph 3, the United Kingdom can negotiate, sign and ratify international agreements in its own areas of jurisdiction during the transitional period, provided that these agreements do not enter into force or apply during the transitional period, unless the Union allows it.
